The Captain Retires

8th September 2008

One of our most loyal and efficient foremen has retired after 24 years of long service to the company.

Properly addressed as "Uberry Hall", the "Captain" (as he has been universally known) eventually hung up his brushes in July after working for Brooke Decorations for 24 years, during which time he established himself as one of our most loyal and efficient foremen.

He has been widely regarded generally as a "great bloke" and will be sorely missed by colleagues and management alike. A dinner given by directors Colin Fry, Mark Ailles and Peter Johnston was attended by The Captain and his lovely wife Betty, where gifts befitting the end of a memorable career were presented.
