Brook Nets the Big One

This time it didn't get away! After protracted and earnest negotiations the new Pembury P.F.I Hospital Project has become part of our flourishing order book. Main Contractor Laing O'Rourke favoured us with this award because of our 'professional approach' and because it was essential to pick the 'right contractor.' Senior procurement officer Nick Kennedy was high in his praise for us, "having worked successfully with Brook in the recent past I felt that they ticked all the boxes for a flagship project like this."

In it's own right this single award has banished the dark clouds of recession but as is always the case, it doesn't just rain, it pours. Following this success other opportunities have also arisen. Willmott Dixon has awarded us no fewer than four inner London schools and a further contract with Laing O'Rourke ( Hastings College) has boosted our secured contract values by well over two million pounds, all of which has been achieved in just six working weeks.

Other opportunities are around the corner. We are actively pursuing large projects at Lingfield, Peacehaven, Canterbury and Portsmouth, and expect to add at least two of these to secured status.

Work has already commenced at the 'Sunrise Living' Residential Care Home in Sevenoaks (Kier Group) and early enabling work has been carried out at the Berners Street Hotel for Messrs Shepherd Construction. A further phase at Lewes Prison is expected to start in early summer (Kier Group) and more inner London school work is expected as well.

All in all it looks like a splendid start for 2009 and we intend keeping at the forefront of activity in the South East. Our secret, if there is one, is providing good old-fashioned value for money allied to a structured efficient approach to customers requirements. We really do listen and we do care about the outcome. The final effect and our high reputation are paramount to our continued success!
